HED Wedding & Event Design, established in 1987 has grown into one of today's top wedding and event design firms in Central Florida. I started HED as a catering company servicing Daytona Beach, and its surrounding areas. Who knew that years later it would be the company that it is today. With the assistance of my daughters Krystal & Katrenia, we are changing the way wedding and events are viewed by all. Our creative design aesthetic and ability to conceptualize our clients vision is what sets us apart from the competition.
Growing up in a family of 12 I have always had to possess creative abilities. With over 35 years of experience in this industry there is no question I can't answer for our clients. I have been blessed with the unique ability to replicated anything that I see. This has turned into the one of the things our clients love the most about us. I truly love everything about the company my daughter's and I have built. For me it's about spreading love and enjoyment to others; being able to create a special moment in time that our clients will always cherish is what drives me creatively. It doesn't matter if its a small intimate occasion for 10, or a corporate dinner for 400; the feeling inside me remains the same.
When I am not curating and custom event design for a bride; I enjoy spending my time on the beach in a peaceful location reading my Bible. I am a mother of 5, wife, and a lover of people.
Krystal Riddle-Lead Planner/Designer
I have been an event planner in my mind since I was a little girl. Assisting my mother with events for family and close friend is when I realized this was my passion. If I didn't plan or execute events, I would not know what to do. It wasn't until I met my Mainland High School Chefs Club teacher, Linda Wright; who actually molded me and pointed me in the right direction to continue pursuing a career in the Hospitality Industry as a Wedding & Event Planner. As a graduate of the University of Central Florida's Rosen College of Hospitality Management with a degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, & Restaurant Management. I have had the opportunity to learn from the very best in the Wedding & Event industry; training with the top Planners, Marketers, Restaurant Owners, and CEO's the industry has to offer. My experience with managing events for Fraternal, Non-profit, corporate organizations has shaped me into the meticulous planner I am today.
I am a stickler for the little details with wedding and event planning. Flowers, custom décor, and special touches are some of my favorite elements involved in the wedding and event planning process. We commonly say that the angels are in the details; to see all the little things that come together to make a big impact on your guests and help make your special day uniquely yours is what drives me. With over 20 years of experience I have developed a level of professionalism that always seem to exceed our clients and vendors expectations. At HED we are passionate about what we do and truly take pride in knowing that we have the opportunity to turn your Wedding & Event dream into a "heavenly" reality.
The industry trends are ever changing so I continuously sharpen my craft with the latest educational conferences and seminars the world has to offer. In my spare time I am the true definition of a "Foodie." I enjoy cooking, wine tastings, and parings, I am a mother, who loves God, food, and enjoys traveling.
Katrenia Riddle -Creative Director/Lead Designer
At a young age I knew that I was a true creative at heart. Designing clothes for friends, and turning vintage pieces into works of art showed me my true path. At the age of 8 I started embellishing and bedazzling anything I could put my hands on. This definitely didn't please my mother . Just as my sister stated for her the same was for me. I was pointed in the right direction by my Chefs Club teacher, Linda Wright as well. She always instilled in me to always have a passion for what you do, or don't do it at all.
It wasn't until 2011 when I decided to take part in the family business as our Lead Designer and Creative Director. Since then I have gained so much knowledge and insight on what it means to be a true creative in the Wedding & Event Industry. From working on small intimate occasions to designing weddings of 300 plus; my passion for this industry is second to none. At HED we take our unique skill-set and infuse them will the clients overall event vision. My background in designing at a young age has molded and laid the foundation for the work I do today.
When I am not sketching the next event design, or crafted custom linen for a bride; I enjoy shopping, dining out, and being with family. I am definitely into all things beautiful, so any chance that I have to pamper myself I do. A true lover, of makeup, hair, and things that bling.
